In this class we learnt about the different techniques of rendering like hatching, cross hatching, scribbling. They are as follows :
HATCHING – Hatching is an artistic technique of drawing parallel lines very close to each other to create tonal values.
CROSS HATCHING – Cross hatching is the drawing of two layers of hatching at right angles to create a mash like pattern.
SCRIBBLING – Scribbling is using overlapping circular movements of a pencil.
Shades can be achieved by changing the pressure and type of pencil. Tone is the lightness or darkness of an object.
We experimented these rendering techniques by clicking pictures and then trying to render them on paper. It was a very good experience and i learnt how we can create various textures by using only pencils.
