In this session of seminar class, we spoke about metamorphosis of Gregor and his life after becoming a bug.
We noticed that his family seems to give up on him and has no sympathy towards him. His sister, Grete has changed into another person in terms of behaviour and wants Gregor to die mainly because she cant see him like that. Many restrictions are put on Gregor and he has lost his confidence.
His father seems to be very frustrated by the family’s financial crisis. He does not want people to see Gregor in this way because he wants to protect his social reputation. His character is very self-centered and he only seems focused on the purpose his son could serve.
Each character is chattered out in a particular way. This teaches us love what you do and accept yourself the way you are.
I personally think it is important to accept yourself and get to know and understand who you are. You always have to be confident about whatever you’re doing even when the outside world is resentful. The world of design is relative and the only way to deal with it is by being confident and know yourself well.
