In this class we learnt about how to show the textures of hair, its flow and volume with lines. We learnt that it is necessary to take different sections of hair and then render it with lines.
After this we learnt about rendering draped fabrics. We started with flat fabric and saw how to render one point hold and two point hold.. We then learnt about spherical draperies that is draping around a circular figure. We learnt to render gathers and hoe gathers are rendered in tops, loose clothes and pants. We also studies different plaits like box plait, knife plait and natural circular skirt fall.
For the mid term project, the word that I had taken was ‘OSWALD‘ and here is my illustration for the same.
In this project I made an evil eye that keeps us positive(away from negativity) just like Oswald does. I’ve made flowers and leaves that makes me feels happy and pleasant. The flowy lines represent easy going personality of Oswald. All the shapes are connected to each other which represents strength(watching Oswald makes me feel strong). The whole drawing is in the shapes of the silhouette of Oswald (the hat, the body, and the tentacles).
