IMAGING [01-10-2019] JAI SIR

We started off this class by talking about colorising and decoloring images. Clorising is adding more hue, saturation, tints, tones and pigments to a picture and decolorising is subtracting them from a picture.

The difference between light and colour :
Colour is the perceived wavelength of light. We can see light because we are observing certain wavelengths of light.

QUESTION : Why is the color of the sky not same everywhere in the world?
The reason behind this is that we see different shades of a single colour at different altitudes(because of wavelengths of light) which is why the colour of the sky is different at different places. Another reason could also be that the perception of light at different places because of the dust and water in the air.

When we talk about RGB colours, we are talking about light and when we talk about CMYK colours we are talking about pigments

COLORISING AN IMAGE :
it is always advisible to make a duplicate layer and not work on the original picture. Also to make any changes the opacity(moe the opacity, more opaque look) should be kept minimum and a soft brush should be used so that it looks more natural.
We can also go to image>adjustments and adjust the hue, saturation, exposures, gamma, etc.
Burn tool, dodge tool, colour filters, colour corrections can also be used.
