We started off the class by selecting a public place we would like to work on. We were given the various aspects of the city that we had to take into consideration while choosing the place. They wer : attire, profession, landmarks, signages/graffiti/billboards, architecture-buildings and styles, foliages/trees/flora, food, mode of transport.
The places we decided to work upon were Colaba Causeway, Reclamation and Sanjay Gandhi Nationa Park.The reasons for the same were :
Colaba Causeway – tourists, british architecture, Taj palace hotel, street shopping/food.
Snajay Gandhi National Park – flora, fauna, climate, only zoo in Mumbai, less polluted.
Reclamation – open place, people, view.
After this we finally picked up Colaba Causeway and went to visit the place. We took various pictures and spoke to the locals over there.
It was a fun experience because we came to know many random facts that we were not aware about.
