In this class we started making the model. We had to cut a frustrum from the block of wood so we did this on a lathe machine. To explain our concept to sir, we made another technical drawing of how we wanted our frustrum to look.
After this we had to cut our frustrum into half vertically to put the hinges and the magnets. For this we were told to make a box with mdf so that we could hold the frustrum in place while cutting it.
After making the box, we realised that being a frustrum our model couldn’t be held in one place even in the box. So we decided to cut it with a normal drill machine
After this we put the hinges and magnets and our base was then ready.
We even made the metal hands.
