In this class we worked on putting rubber on the wood and the sand paper for friction. We used rubber because it represents our skin and even gives a squishy feeling that one gets when you pull someone’s leg.
We made holes in the rubber and put kinetic sand in it. To make the holes we tried to use the drill machine but it didn’t happen so then we used scissors to make it.
For the heat pad, we made a metal frame that could support the heat pad and at the same time heat up because it’s a good conductor of heat and electricity.
On touching the heat pad with the metal hand,even the metal would heat and we could feel the warmth on our hands.
Since we had put kinetic sand in the space between the wood and the rubber, on pressing it the kinetic sand came out;giving us the same feeling like one gets when the leg is pulled/pressed.
I understood that working in a group is much better because we get someone else’s point of view on our idea and it helps us in developing better ideas.
