‘Parts of a Whole’ was the new project that we had to work on. Firstly we had a discussion about PAUL RAND and his opinion and explanation of design.
We were already given a brief about the mind maps that we had to make according to the disciplines we were going to choose in the seminar class. We had a discussion about design and the various categories and elements of design in the seminar class and we had already started making a rough mind map in seminar.
I first started making a detailed mind map in my dairy so that it becomes easier for me to put it on an A3 size paper.
The core discipline that I chose was communication design. While making the mind map I realised that there were so many aspects and elements of communication design that were still left to explore. I saw maps made by my classmates to check the various aspects that they had put down. We even had discussions with each other about the same while we were trying to figure out what elements should come in what category. There were some elements that came in more than one category so I put them in both of them but in a different standpoint.
